“I think 10,000 lunches was a great way to spend most of my lunchtimes because I knew while I was packing lunches and making sandwiches that it was way more important than eating my lunch and playing with friends. I thought this because I was providing someone with a lunch, and they have way less than I do. This was an excellent experience for me and many other students at school. One lunch is one more baby-step closer to the homelessness issue. I hope that everyone can see that.”

“I know how much this helps the people that are in need and makes me feel like I am really helping out. I miss helping during these hard times and I can barely imagine what the people we supply our sandwiches for are going through and hope I can help them soon.”

— Owen L (7th grade)

“Something I’ve heard before from the people who went out and delivered stuck with me. They told us that some of the people who they deliver to had what we gave them as their only food for that day, or a couple of days. It brings me such great joy that we can provide people with a relatively constant supply of food.”
